Danniell offers structural integration and massage services for horses. Structural integration is a type of connective tissue bodywork that focuses on tissues that have become restricted in the body due to postural imbalance, injury, and repetitive stress, among other reasons. Restrictions can limit how the body as a whole works together. This often causes imbalance, pain, or just a loss of fluidity in movement. Each session unwinds tissues that may have become hard or short in areas of overuse or misuse. Working with where holdings are, in order to free patterns of connective tissues front to back and left to right, can result in less pain and a more balanced horse. Sessions typically last around 75 minutes long and include comprehensive intake, introduction, movement assessment, chart notes, and after care suggestions. Sessions can be for maintenance or can be bundled in a series of 5 sessions. A structural integration series of 5 sessions is spread out over the course of about 10 weeks.
